PAIN/STRESS RELIEVING MASSAGE

THERAPUTIC MASSAGE

Typically using firm but flowing movements, this massage aims to soothe and ease chronic and acute neuro-muscular discomfort.

Though a full body massage, particular attention is given to the neck, shoulders and back.

With the use of preblended oils including arnica and certain essential oils, pressure is also applied on relevant neuro-muscular trigger points.

This massage is recommended for muscular stiffness, injuries and tension from posture, sports or occupation such as RSI, tight neck and shoulders and lower back pain.

M TECHNIQUE

For more frail people or those who are recovering from serious illness such as cancer we also offer the M Technique Massage which has been formulated for use by nurses for the treatment of those people who are especially old or frail.

This is a very light massage using carrier oil and a method of structured stroking. Each movement and sequence is done a set number of times, in a set pattern, at a set pressure and set speed that never changes. The therapy can be a full massage or can concentrate on one or two particular areas of the body which may be causing concern this is especially useful for clients who may not wish to have a full massage or are unable to lay flat on a massage table for any length of time.
This technique works on skin receptors that send signals to the brain. The technique has been described as physical hypnotherapy and is extremely relaxing and soothing.
